  • First image of Motorola Backflip aka Motus leaked!

    Android and Me has secured the first live picture of Motorola's upcoming Android smartphone codenamed Motus. The phone has a unique design where the keypad is stowed away on the rear of the phone and flips open to position below the display.

    The anonymous tipster also indicates that it'd have specs similar to the Dext, will run on Android OS 1.5 and is scheduled for launch in Q1, 2010.

    On our part, we have found out that Motorola has registered the name 'Backflip' with the Trade Marks and Registration Office of the European Union under trademark number 008461725. We say that Backflip goes well with the design of the device and we won't be surprised if that's what Moto will eventually call it!
