We are reporting live from the HTC press conference in New Delhi where Jack Tong, vice president, HTC Asia has just announced the Magic, the first Android phone to be released in India. The Magic will be available exclusively to Airtel subscribers. Airtel is also one of the two carriers to offer the iPhone 3G in India. The Magic carries a steep price of Rs 29,900 in which the subscriber will get 100 MB of free data for a period of six months.Just to put things in a perspective, the iPhone 3G's 8GB version is available for a similar price tag on Vodafone. It beats us why would someone go for the Magic and not the iPhone 3G. Probably, the novelty factor of a new OS might be the only possible reason for someone to pick it up.Follow us on Twitter! @Cellpassion
