  • Nokia 5530 XM sneaks by, low-end Tube in the offing!

    We had seen pictures of what was touted as the 5900 XM earlier but now we have in our hands Nokia's product roadmap leading up to June 09 and we can confidently say that what you see on your left is the Nokia Kenzo aka 5530 XpressMusic.

    The Kenzo is not a higher-end version of the 5800 XpressMusic as earlier speculated and is in fact a low-end, non-3G all touchscreen phone. Well, we ain't sure what can be lower-end than the 5800 XpressMusic but our source tells us that Kenzo's finishing is far better than the 5800 XpressMusic!

    The specs:

    Dimension: 104x49x13 mm
    3.2 MP camera with dual LED flash
    2.9 inch QVGA touchscreen with 16 million colour support
    Quad-band GSM, EDGE connectivity, no 3G
    No Wi-Fi or GPS
    ASP: sub-$200
    150 MB internal memory, expandable up to 16 GB

    Nokia plans to announce the Kenzo in June this year and might launch it with 'Comes with Music' offering that would bump up its ASp by another $100 or so.

    So there you have it, folks, the Nokia 5530 XM aka the Kenzo!
