After BlackBerry, Nokia’s mail service faces security test in India
1Nokia’s e-mail service, Ovi Mail, has not even shed its beta tag and it is already attracting attention from India’s security agencies, according to a report in The Economic Times. According to the report, the Intelligence Bureau has written to the Department of Telecommunications that it is against the continuation of Nokia’s e-mail service.
Security agencies have earlier raised similar concerns regarding Research In Motion’s BlackBerry service and had given them a 15-day deadline to ensure that data passing through its network is provided to security agencies in a readable format.
