Vodafone launches $15 phone
At MWC in Barcelona, Vodafone has announced what it claims to be the world’s cheapest phone. Aimed to retail at under $15, the Vodafone 150 makes voice calls, sends text messages and will also do some kind of mobile money, which we believe to be over SMS or USSD platform. The phone will be launched in India, Turkey and some African countries. There is a slightly higher version, the Vodafone 250, that has a colour display and FM radio, which is expected to retail around $20.
