HTC Legend gets caught posing on its way to MWC [Updated with specs]
Things usually heat up on the week leading up to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and this year is no different. The folks at Engadget have received pics of the upcoming (and so far unofficial) HTC Legend.
The Legend is supposed to be the successor to our beloved Hero and HTC has made lots of bold changes to the external hardware by using an optical trackpad, touchsensitive soft keys instead of physical buttons and a new aluminium shell.
No one’s quite sure about which version of Android OS it runs on but our guess would be Android 2.1 and probably HTC might also announce an upgrade for poor folks like Yours Truly, who’s still stuck on Android 1.5 on his Hero. Head over to Engadget for a pic of the back that shows off the new HTC branding.
Update: Engadget now has specs to go along with the pic:
- 3.2-inch HVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen
- 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor
- 5 megapixel camera with LED flash
- Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
- WiFi
- Quadband GSM / EDGE plus dualband HSPA
- Magnetic compass
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 1300mAh battery
