• Tata Indicom launches ‘Pay Per Call Flexi Plan’

    1

The CDMA operations of Tata Teleservices, Tata Indicom has launched ‘Pay Per Call Flexi Plan’ which, of course, trumps their former ‘Pay Per Call’ plan. Under this plan, users can make local and STD calls at Re 1 and Rs 2, respectively, for a call duration of five minutes. If, however, a user calls for less than a minute, he or she will be charged 25 paise per minute for both local and STD calls.

Local calls       -  Re 1 for five minutes

STD calls         -  Rs 2 for five minutes

Roaming rates –  50 paise per minute

SMS tariffs      -  50 paise for local and STD

New Tata Indicom users can avail this plan by buying a starter pack of Rs 99 while the existing customers can avail the scheme with a recharge of Rs 51.

We can’t wait to watch those reactions from incumbents. Just hope they don’t cry foul explaining that old concept of predatory pricing.
