HTC Nexus One aka Google Phone gets more street cred, poses for its first photoshoot in the wild
One thing that we have learnt from the whole ‘Google Phone’ HTC Nexus One leaks is that it is not a good idea to hand over a secret device to thousands of Twitter-eager, photo-op hungry Googlers.
Starting todays leaks is a bunch of photos of the Nexus One showing of its Palm webOS-like card deck UI, that apparently will show a preview of all homescreens in the new Android OS 2.1. Engadget has a good collection of pics, so head over there to check out the ‘unusually large’ camera on the back.
Those guys have even found an FCC listing for the Nexus One that not only confirms the name but also the fact that it supports UMTS and HSUPA on the 850/1700/1900 that means it will work over both AT&T and T-Mobile 3G networks in the US. However, this also means that it won’t work on most 3G networks outside the US. So folks, join us in our prayers to see a Europe/Asia version of the Nexus One.
