Airtel slashes roaming rates by 60 pc
After fighting on the pay per second front, Airtel has found new grounds. Bharti Airtel has launched a new plan which will give its subscribers a chance to save on roaming calls.
The Turbo plan will allow the users to take incoming calls at 60 paise per minute. All outgoing roaming local or STD calls to Airtel network would cost 60 paise per minute. But the roaming outgoing calls to other networks would cost 80 paise per minute. Normally, users pay Re 1 per minute for local calls and Rs 1.50 per minute for STD calls while roaming within the country.
Airtel prepaid subscribers need to recharge with a voucher of Rs 98 and it comes with a year’s validity. Postpaid users can also opt for this plan.
