Acer today announced the Liquid, its first Android phone. And it ain’t just any phone – the Liquid is the first Qualcomm Snapdragon based Android phone! It is also the first Android phone with an HVGA display. While Acer has not revealed any pictures of the phone in question, it will have ellipse curves and will come in red, white and black colours.

On the customisation front, Acer, like Motorola and HTC, has integrated the phonebook with Facebook, Twitter, Picasa, Flickr and YouTube. One new feature would be ‘Spinlets’ that appears to be a music and video streaming application. Now how about showing us the phone, guys? Or better still, sending one over for a hands on, eh?
