We have all known about the existence of a ‘lite’ version of Samsung Galaxy for a long time now but today the folks at Samsung Hub have hit jackpot with what looks like press pictures of the device.

The Galaxy Lite i5700 like its elder sibling runs on Android and has a 3.2 MP camera, a 3.0-inch touchscreen, GPS, Wi-Fi and the works.

No word about its India launch, yet, but it is apparently priced at around Euro 350 (approximately Rs 24,000).

Now we ain’t sure if that is what handset vendors mean by ‘affordable’ Android phones as we were kinda expecting devices with such specs to be more like under Rs 20,000. Is this what Microsoft means when it says ‘nothing comes for free’ in reference to Google’s stand of not charging license fees for Android?
