Global: HTC Tattoo brings Android to the masses
On a day when HTC announced the high-end Hero in India, in Taiwan it was busy introducing a mass market Android phone – the Tattoo. It will be first launched in Europe in October, which could mean a late-October or early-November launch in India.
On the specs front, the Tattoo has a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, 3.2 MP camera, HSDPA connectivity and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Running a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor, the Tattoo will probably be the first Android phone under Rs 20,000 in India. But the best thing, it will still run the amazing Sense UI that we have experienced on the Hero.
