Update: Nokia, Samsung announce rugged phones
Nokia today announced its rugged phone 3720 Classic that was captured on video a few days ago. The casing of the 3720 Classic is entirely sealed to protect the inner components from water, dust and other elements.
The 3720 Classic has an LED flashlight, 2.2 inch display, microSD card and comes with Google Maps bundled on a 1 GB microSD card.
Exact technical specifications are unavailable at the moment but we will keep you posted on them.
The 3720 Classic will be available ‘this summer’ and will come at a price of Euro 125 (approximately Rs 8,500) before subsidies and taxes.

Meanwhile, Samsung has launched the B2100 Marine in India, claimed to be a waterproof phone priced at Rs 7,030. The Marine also comes with similar features as the 3720 Classic and can function even when submerged up to a meter in water.
