Samsung to launch $100 solar phone in India tomorrow
We have learnt that Samsung is set to launch a solar-powered GSM phone in India that will be priced at $100 in India tomorrow. The device will be manufactured in India from Samsung’s manufacturing facility in Noida, a suburb of New Delhi. While we have not received the actual specifications, it is interesting to see affordable solar phones for emerging markets. For the record, Samsung had announced a touchscreen solar phone – the Blue Earth – which is yet to be commercially available in any market.
