While we were not exactly impressed by the Palm Pre, the handset vendor is keeping its chin high and has announced some dozen new apps that go live on the device. While a dozen might not sound much considering Apple which has a few thousand apps to choose from, it is worth noting that Palm has not exactly made its Mojo SDK for webOS public yet and it is available to some select developers only. Well, anyway, the guys at Palm are quick to note that they registered some 150,000 app downloads on the first day, itself. Well, we are now waiting for Apple to make the iPhone OS 3.0 available in a few hours and see how they register 10 times those many downloads! We feel pity for Palm, it ain’t their fault that the iPhone is sooo good.
