Google shows off Latitude working on iPhone’s browser
It comes as no surprise that Google has introduced Latitude on the iPhone. However, what is surprising is Google has not gone with adding Latitude on the Maps app found on the iPhone. Instead, it is providing it on the iPhone’s web browser that is also able to access the location details of the phone either via cell tower triangulation or GPS or Wi-Fi.
For those of you who are not aware of Latitude, it is an application that lets users share their location with others.
This is the first web app that we have seen, which can access data that has been privy only to native apps, that is apps that are installed on the device rather than running off a web page.
