Nokia Ovi Store asks for password, inching closer to launch?
Nokia’s application store is possibly inching closer to its launch as we now encounter a login screen unlike earlier when the link to Ovi Store used to land at a coming soon page. Nokia had announced its online app store in February this year at the Mobile World Congress and has made it public that the N97 will be the first device to come pre-installed with the App Store. The N97 is scheduled to hit shelves in June.
Possibly, Nokia is currently testing Ovi Store with partner carriers with which it will have billing agreements. We tried logging in using our Ovi username and password but it did not grant us access. Hopefully, it is just a matter of days before which Nokia officially launches its version of an application store.
