Championship Manager dribbles its way into App Store
The App Store continues to flourish, with a game library that is beginning to make most consoles look a bit lightweight in comparison. The latest game to land there is none other than the legendary football management game, Championship Manager. The release tells us that is the “Â ultimate football management simulation experience allowing players to take total control with multiple league and job options, player training, board interaction & press conferences.” Oooh! But then it would say so, wouldn’t it? Mind you, we like the “board interaction” and “press conferences” bit.
“The revolutionary capabilities of iPhone and iPod touch make it a compelling platform and we have designed the Championship Manager gameplay specifically for theses devices,” said Roy Meredith, general manager of Championship Manager. “We’re excited to continue to evolve the features and think players are going to love it.”
Of course, the game boasts a completely redesigned navigation system to take full advantage of the innovative Multi-Touch user interface. On offer are options to coach some of the best teams in the world of football. And for £3.49 at that. I am applying for Liverpool. Now, excuse me while I go off to download the game while practicing “You Will Never Walk Alone.”Â
