Pocket God gets an update
It may be attracting stacks of controversy for the options it gives to users to torture and mistreat tribals, but Pocket God is going great guns on the iPhone, with almost 8,00,000 copies of the game gone since January this year. Not surprisingly, the developers, Bolt Creative, have now come up with an update that offers a whole new land mass that features a mysterious structure, some rugged terrain and an egg that may or may not spell doom for the islanders. The new new island is reported to be the first part in a series of updates that will add a number of spins to the game that has built a huge following, while attracting bouquets and brickbats alike, by allowing the user to play God in a island full of tribal inhabitants. One can be a generous or an utter tyrant, depending on your inclination.“We’ve been floored by all the response from our fans and we’ve been listening,†said Dave Castelnuovo of Bolt Creative. “This update is really the first in a trilogy of updates designed to make Pocket God an even more robust experience.â€
