Samsung Android phone, Omnia Pro leaked
It is a double whammy fro Samsung this weekend with leaked pictures suggesting a sliding QWERTY equipped Omnia Pro and an Android phone for O2 Germany.
According to an Italian blog, the Omnia Pro will be rocking WinMo 6.1 and will be upgradable to WinMo 6.5 as soon as it is available. Of course, there is the QWERTY keyboard, a 5.0 MP shooter and a 3.5-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen. Hopefully, Samsung will do a better job on the UI front than it did on the Omnia.
On the other front, The Unwired is reporting that German carrier O2 will get Samsung’s first Android phone, which responds to the name i7500. It’s powered by a Qualcomm MSM7200A CPU at 528 MHz and features a 3.2″ HVGA capacitive OLED display as well as a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and a standard 3.5 mm stereo headset plug. Other rumours speculate it to have an internal 8 Gb memory, which we believe is now becoming a sort of a standard for most phones. The device is expected to be launched around June at a retail price of Euro 300.
