Stealth season for App Store: Assassin’s Creed sneaks in
‘Tis raining high quality stealth games on the Apple App Store. Barely had we finished celebrating the release of Metal Gear Solid Touch than the news that Gameloft had let loose Assassin’s Creed: Altair’s Chronicles on the App Store as well. Like its version on the Xbox 360 and PC (which had critics applauding), this game too is based in the medieval Middle East and serves up a blend of stealth, action and puzzle solving. Of course, the game will feature mind blowing graphics and sound and will also allow the user to try out a variety of weapons such as the sword, dagger, crossbow, exploding bomb, smoke bomb and grappling hook. Gamers will not just be able to bump off people but also pick their pockets (the bottom line matters, after all) and even do a spot of interrogating. But they will need to be poorer by USD 9.95 before they can do so. We are lightening our purses already!
