Microsoft aims for the AppStore, plans SkyMarket
Jeez, everyone is taking a leaf out of Apple’s AppStore. After Google, which announced the Android Market last week, it is now Microsoft’s turn to do the same. Apparently, the Redmond-based giant has made a job posting for folks who can look after SkyMarket — ‘the place to be’ for developers wishing to distribute and monetize their Windows Mobile applications.Â
According to the posting, the SkyMarket is expected to come along with Windows Mobile 7, which itself is expected to become public sometime early next year.
