Exlusive: iPhone 3G to sell for Rs 24,000 in India!
That’s right folks! We have been tipped by a very reliable source that the iPhone 3G will be sold for no less than Rs 24,000 ($572) for the 8GB version when it debuts on both Airtel and Vodafone on August 22. Yup, it ain’t cheap considering the iPhone 3G was supposed to be ’half the price’ of the original iPhone and you won’t even get ‘twice the speed’ considering India doesn’t have 3G networks yet. But the good news is that in all likelihood, you won’t be tied up with a minimum monthly commitment plan and hence, even pre-paid users will be able to get hold of one!
