Apple’s iPhone is headed to Vodafone India and is scheduled for a September launch, according to Indian business daily, Business Standard. According to the report, the 8 GB variant is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 27,200 to Rs 28,000, while the 16 GB version is slated for a mid-2009 launch. Is it only me who gets this feeling that it’s probably too little and too late. After all, you can get an ‘illegal’ unlocked 8GB iPhone for anything upwards of Rs 21,500! Hey, we ain’t suggesting you get one of those but just telling you the truth. Wink, wink.
