Mobile e-mail gets @mobile domain
We have been bored to death with mobile e-mail solutions that offer a cellphone friendly e-mail experience that’s more affordable than the BlackBerry (and easier to snoop by government security agencies!). And here comes another one, albeit with a twist. Androit Claretdene Infotech has announced its version of mobile e-mail – email@mobile. The company claims that with this solution, users will be able to access their e-mails and read text attachments even on the most basic cellphones. All that’s required is an active GPRS connection on the cellphone.
But the bigger picture over here is not the accessibility aspect but the fact that users will have to create a new e-mail id by signing up for the free service. Now that ain’t cool, we say! Enable us to get mails from our existing mail ids, we already have too many to remember and we don’t want to add one more.
