Steve Jobs gets our shirt – iPhone ain’t coming to India, not yet
And that pretty much sums up the story folks. All that Macworld had in store for the iPhone was a few numbers being dropped and some software upgrades. How would you feel Mr Jobs, if you were in our shoes waiting eagerly for months to get the iPhone (without having to unlock it), only to be told that Apple has been selling 20,000 of them every day for the past 90 days and you still won’t be able to get one? Not very amused, we’d say.Â
Ah, and we hear there was a deafening applaud when you announced that the new software upgrade will enable people to send a text message to multiple people. Heck, even a lousy entry-level phone can do that! We think that you forgot to add video recording capabilities on the phone that’s filling your coffers. Let us guess, you are saving that for the next edition of Macworld, aren’t you?
What about the SDK that will allow developers to create applications for the iPhone? Why is it still expected in late February? Why couldn’t it make for a Macworld release like everything else? Let us guess again, it is of least concern to you till the time the carriers keep sharing revenues they generate from iPhone subscribers.
Shaking menu items, no thanks
